Objectives

The concrete objectives of the partnership are:

  • to stimulate our students’ creativity using modern methods of teaching based on the common European experience
  • to establish the connection between the objectivism of ideas and positive thinking to our students
  • to develop abilities and aptitudes for questioning and for ambiguity tolerance organizing inter-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities
  • to investigate the connection between creativity and creation as well as originality and opportunity
  • to use the last innovation in the IT field for  promoting the introverted, interrogative and investigative spirit of our students

Approach:

The project approach takes into account some of the areas of “new basic skills” identified by the Lisbon European Council: foreign languages, ICT, technological culture, areas covered by the cognitive intelligence, as well as the social skills, area covered by the emotional intelligence. Both cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence are targeted by our project.
Learning-to-learn – as a priority identified in the “Implementation if Education & Training 2000 Work Programm” – is targeted through the modern methods of teaching and innovative evaluation, stressing the practical aspects concentrated in a study case focussed on our students’ cognitive and emotional intelligence.

The approach in achieving the objectives of the project is a pro-active one based on sharing experiences, values and purposes, increasing the partners’ self-awareness and providing self-confidence. Benchmarking of the pedagogical practices will enrich the partners’ know-how. We aim enhancing the visibility of new pedagogical approaches by comparing the educational systems, increasing the teachers’ cooperation at European level.

The achievement of the project objectives and results will support the creativity of our students as well as that one of the teachers involved in the project activities due to the project diversity in view of making the European Year of creativity and innovation 2009 a success.

We target the easiness of our students’ integration in a common European labour market through the use of IT means and the improvement of the abilities of speaking foreign languages. Our project activities intend increasing the creativity and the capacity of intuition, gaining the balance between thinking and imagination, encouraging of the positive ambition for learning effectively and maximize performance, handling changes and readiness to act on opportunities to our students.

The students as the subject of our educational approach will be aware of the importance of their progress in the curricula activities, of the fact of being confident in their abilities, self-assured of their capabilities to perform in the educational field, to have a certain autonomy in the leaning process and in acting to the educational opportunities.

We aim an innovative teaching using modern methods (brainstorming, Delphy method, Philips 66 method, brain-writing, self-questioning, banks of creative ideas) as well as innovative evaluation means (projects, portfolios) in order to encourage our students’ creativity. An efficient orchestration of knowledge will bolster up the students’ creativity and contribute to a balanced personality.
